Job Readiness
training includes some of the following services:
Resume Writing and Review- Our consultants review and
develop resumes. There are various types of resumes used; some are
more functional, while others are chronological. The type of resume
recommended and created would be based on an individual's work history.
Examples-An individual has worked in the same job for 20 plus years
but performed different functions (In this case, a functional resume
would be used.). Another individual worked different jobs at different
companies. (In this case, a chronological resume may be more suitable.)
Job Club/Classes- Job club is catered towards an individual's
needs and goals. Our consultants have extensive experience working
with individuals with various backgrounds in a wide variety of environments.
Job Club is typically provided as part of the job readiness process
and includes training on job seeking skills, self-esteem building,
mock interviews, appropriate dress and behavior, and much more.
Many individuals may be hesitant about entering or returning to
the work force. The goal of these classes is to decrease and hopefully
eliminate those fears.
Job Placement Assistance-The assistance includes reaching
out to local employers, who our consultants have developed long
term relationships with and who regularly hire some of our clients.
The goal is to seek open and available positions in the local economy.
An individual’s educational background, vocational history,
current capabilities and limitations, and interests are all taken
into consideration when determining appropriate job placement.
