| The Labor Market
Survey is useful in showing whether work for which an individual
is qualified for exists in substantial numbers in the local and/or
national economy. A labor market survey further includes employment
projections for specific researched occupations as documented from
the Bureau of Labor Statistics and Department of Labor.
A labor market survey involves contacting various employers to
determine if job openings exist. In order to better serve clients,
our vocational consultants maintain relationships with many employers
nationwide and are notified of job openings on a regular basis.
From a labor market survey, an individual can expect to find out
more about:
- Specific job openings with employer contact information in his
or her area of residence
- Competition for available job openings
- Background and training requirements
- Prevailing wages
- Future trends of the occupation
If a client is interested, our consultants will also assist with
scheduling an interview with the potential employer.
